Maciek 1188 Posted April 15, 2015 Koncert w Vancouver będzie filmowany, ale czy to ma być część jakiejś większej całości (wydawnictwo z różnymi fragmentami trasy na sam koniec) albo może pojedyńczy występ, tego nie wiadomo. Może się też okazać, że to będzie jak z tym DVD z Kostaryki kiedyś, tylko jakaś lokalna akcja. Trzeba poczekać na jakieś info od samego zespołu. Follow up how Lemminkäinen, the courageous and handsome hero of Kalevala, the Finnish national epic, comes alive through international collaboration in Kitee, Finland! Please meet the team: e.g. Katharina Benkwitz (visual artist), Floor Jansen, Troy Donockley and Tuomas Holopainen (Nightwish musicians), actors of the local theatre group "Myllyteatteri" and int. teachers and students of the University of Eastern Finland! The DVD is produced by Tmi Reinon Retroruokala Company. First the tale was born. It all started at the village of Hummovaara in Kesälahti, which now belongs to the Kitee Municipality. Elias Lönnrot arrived at the village in summer 1828 on his first journey to Savo and Karelia to gather poems for Kalevala, the Finnish national epic. At the village Lönnrot met the peasant Juhana Kainulainen. Over the course of two days and one night, Kainulainen sang over 50 runes to Lönnrot under a huge pinetree. Lemminkäinen's hymn eventually developed into the dramatic tale of Lemminkäinen, the courageous warrior and handsome womanizer... ...And this is how the story goes: Lemminkäinen is the young hero of Kalevala, a proud and courageous soldier, a wise and mighty man. He can transform himself and defeat his enemy by the power of the spoken word. Many women are attracted to the handsome and strong Lemminkäinen. However, he is eager to marry the cheerful Kyllikki, who comes from a good family and lives on Saari, the Island... Lemminkäinen's mother doesn't want any troubles for his son because of Kyllikki and warns him of the jealous and angry men of the Island... ...But before we find out, if Lemminkäinen eventually could marry Kyllikki he so much desired, let's return to summer 1828. When Mr. Lönnrot had written down "Lemminkäinen's hymn", he moved on and eventually ended up at Jouhkolan Hovi (Jouhkola Court) in Tohmajärvi. That's where he celebrated Midsummer ("juhannus" in Finnish). Jouhkolan Hovi welcomes travellers in these days, too! So, cheerful juhannus to you, too! The end result of Live Lemminkäinen! production is a DVD (and a corresponding downloadable format) on which the story of Lemminkäinen is conveyed through the narration, runes, drawings, photographs and the music by Nightwish. Let's first take a peek and see how the narrative is being recorded. The narrator in Finnish is Pentti Holopainen. His english speaking "colleague" is Troy Donockley of Nightwish. Charismatic men, both of them, don't you think? The peasant Juhana Kainulainen sang Lemminkäinen's hymn and Lönnrot compiled the dramatic story of the war hero and womanizer of Kalevala. 200 years later Tuomas Holopainen, the frontman of the internationally recognised Nightwish with its roots in Kitee, composed Lemminkäinen's story - without knowing it. "The Poet And The Pendulum" from the album "Dark Passion Play" conveys the story perfectly - listen and you will start to understand. The role of the beautiful Kyllikki is "acted" by Carita Hiltunen (FI version) and Johanna Kurkela, a Finnish vocalist (EN version). Carita has had roles e.g. at Kyläparin Myllyteatteri, a local theatre group. Johanna has released new songs in spring and more new music is expected in autumn... John Finberg (koleś, który załatwia koncerty NW) napisał na swoim fejsie, że "pieprzy Greków i że zepsuli jego plany na jesień i żeby zostali z niczym itp" i ludzie z Grecji myśleli, że NW może też tak myśli. Szkoda strasznie ;< The journalist José Norberto posted on his Twitter that the participation of Jukka, on show at the Rock in Rio the day 25.09 was cancelled! According to him, the drummer may not come to Brazil on schedule!! Maciek 1188 Posted July 22, 2015 Pomyśleć, że kiedyś tylko Tarja obsługiwała stronę wokalną zespołu, a dziś mamy trzech śpiewaków w zespole i będzie jeszcze czwarty na dokładkę. ;) Skoro będzie Tony, to może wykonają "Cold Heart Of The Klondike" w jakiejś bardziej metalowej aranżacji.
