Quite honestly, I have to say I haven't been there following former singer's recording sessions. This time the difference was that there were actually two singers present in the studio all the time. While the one was singing the other one was thinking behind the glass what kind of harmony could fit in with it. We took turns singing the vocal parts and after that we had a dialogue how we could make the songs even better. NW's characteristic has been alternating between female and male voices. What kind of a duet partner Floor was? All of us have our own kind of voices. Still we got our sounds fit well together. Though I have to admit that some of us are little louder than others, so we had to adjust our volume levels a little. All in all everything went really naturally and just as naturally I always had the lower voice and Floor had the higher one. That co-operation should be heard clearly on the album. "Anyway,how would you compare this recording to the previous albums? Earlier NW records have become more bombastic album by album. Are you going to continue with this style or are you trying to 'slow' things down?" You can find calmer moments on this album but the fact is the bombast is the trademark of this band. And you'll certainly find epicness from this album. When we have discussed with each other we have found that this album is considerably more band oriented than before. Lucyfetka 829 Posted November 4, 2014 Tak naprawdę, to długość nic nie ma do rozmiaru :) To wszystko zależy od ilości ścieżek i to wszystko. Ostatnio ogarniałam poszczególne rozmiary utwór NW i podam przykład: Utwór z DPP "Meadows Of Heaven" trwa 7:11, a utwór z CC "Bless The Child" trwa 6:45 Który więcej waży? Odp brzmi "Bless The Child" A dlaczego? Ma więcej ścieżek niż MOH. Tak niestety jest. :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Taiteilija 2754 Posted November 10, 2014 Nie sądzę, żeby to był tytuł albumu (chociaż może... who knows?), ale nie wykluczam, że może być to tytuł piosenki, lub nazwa trasy. Na koszulce mamy amonit (prawdopodobnie), czyli takiego prehistorycznego ślimola, a to oznacza, że album (zważywszy na to, że Tuomas chciał zostać biologiem, a do tego biologiem morskim) może być o początkach życia biologicznego na Ziemii. Biorąc pod uwagę prace Dawkinsa... jest ewolucjonistą i zoologiem (między innymi), więc spodziewajmy się albumu naukowego, a konkretnie biologicznego o, wspomnianych przeze mnie, początkach życia, o tym skąd się wywodzimy: my i całe reszta żyjątek (to sugeruje napis na koszulce: "Odnajdź miejsce/Dowiedz się skąd pochodzisz"). Brzmi nudnawo? Ale muzyka to nie podręcznik od biologii! Szkoły bardzo spłaszczają ciekawe fakty naukowe i przez to wielu będzie sądzić, że słowo "nauka", lub "biologia" jest synonimem słowa "nuda" i "monotonia", ale przecież nauka jest ciekawa! To kwestia sposobu w jaki jest nam podana. Znając patetyczny i dość energiczny, charyzmatyczny styl Tuomasowej muzyki, możemy się spodziewać (mam nadzieję) nauki w takiej formie, w jakiej powinno się ją serwować; przystępnej, ciekawej, zachęcającej i rozwijającej.
