W literackiej twórczości NW odnajdujemy teksty z którymi się utożsamiamy albo mają dla nas osobistą wartość. Piszecie ulubione cytaty z uzasadnieniem dlaczego akurat ten?

Jestem na ogół zwolenniczką całych tekstów, bo cytat to takie szpetne i wybiórcze okrojenie wspaniałej treści jednak zamieszczam tu te kilka (jest ich więcej może dodam kiedy indziej przy odrobinie czasu) i moje kalekie pod nimi wyjaśnienia dlaczego akurat te - ciężko mi to czasem orzec; najchętniej pozostawiłabym je bez wyjaśnienia.

Jest w tych słowach coś pięknego i to, czymkolwiek by nie było sprawia, że współczuje podmiotowi lirycznemu z całego serca.

Wspaniały jest ten rodzaj wolności i nieskrępowanej radości w całej tej piosence - człowiek od razu czuje się swobodniejszy!

Cały ten wiersz (bo nie wyobrażam sobie by nazwać to zwykłym tekstem piosenki) jest czymś niezwykłym dla mnie. Gdy słyszę ten ostatni recytowany przez chłopca fragment widzę dziecko, które przed odejściem wypowiada ostatnie słowa. Zastanawiam się wtedy co ja powiedziałabym do świata i ludzi, gdybym miała odejść (nie koniecznie chodzi tu o śmierć).

Lubię treści, które można prywatnie interpretować i lubię takie właśnie proste, a jednak tajemnicze zakończenia utworów.

Wszelkie odnośnie symboliczne do muzyki (nut, znaków), do pisarstwa (piór, liter, wersów, atramentu) i do sztuki (pędzli, płótna, ołówków) zawsze mnie pociągały. Zbyt rzadko posługujemy się i doceniamy znaczenie narzędzi, którymi sztuka jest tworzona.

Lubię te stare, bardziej wymagające literacko teksty Tuomasa - bardziej wymagające niż 'I Want My Tears Back' ;).

Coś w tym jest w tych eterycznych zestawieniach wyrazów jak choćby 'hydrogen lakes'. Sama też jestem swoistym "Stargazerem" ("Gwiezdnym Paczaczem"! :happy:) i ten utwór (choć Tarja śpiewa niezrozumiale) bardzo mnie fascynuje - nie podejmuje się prób przekładu, boję się fiaska.

Ograniczę się do dwóch: pierwszy z "Beauty of the Beast", drugi z "Song of Myself". Oba namiętnie traktuję jako moje życiowe motto.
